The open pit boron mine is located 78 km north-east of the city of Arequipa, Peru, in the site of Laguna Salinas, surrounded by Misti and Ubinas volcanoes. From this deposit, Ulexite is extracted and operates six months a year due to heavy rain season from November to April; therefore the company policy is to maintain a minimum of two years of raw materials in stock.
This unit is located in Arequipa city and consists of 5 production plants, which operate 24 hours a day and are equipped with cutting edge technology, characteristics that have allowed us to meet the highest international standards, thus acquiring certifications: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, among others.

It is our subsidiary Inkabor Bolivia S.R.L. located in Oruro at 3,735 m.a.s.l., which has a granulation, drying and calcination plant operating 24 hours a day, where natural ulexite is processed under strict quality controls to ensure the specifications of its products according to our customers’ needs. This is a process in which only water moisture and composition of the mineral is extracted, so that the use of its final products is compatible with organic agriculture. As a sign of distinction of Inkabor activities, beyond incorporating safety, environmental, and occupational health procedures of the highest international level, we have also incorporated our program of Corporate Social Responsibility, specifically with the surrounding communities.
